Comfort is excellent both with and without socks, Nike Air Max 90 VT uk Trainers though I do get a bit of abrasion near the base of the outer lace row. It has not resulted in a blister, and only occurs when I don¡¯t have socks on. I¡¯m ambivalent about the bootie design of the shoe ¨C generally I prefer a more traditional tongue since it allows for better adjustment of fit and lacing, but the bootie in the v5 has not caused me any trouble. There is minimal structure to the upper ¨C no heel counter, no hard overlays, etc. Internally, arch support is present, but is mostly due to the sockliner angling up under the arch.

The upper consists of two layers of fabric separated by flywire bands that extend from the sole to the eyelets on each side (the orange strings that can be seen in the images here). The outer layer is a stretchy, open mesh, the inner layer is a more tightly woven fabric. The inner layer is stitched to the tongue on each side and has very few seams. It fits like a snug sock, and feels great against bare skin. At the back of the shoe there is a firm plastic cradle that wraps around Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse Trainers uk the heel to provide support ¨C I have not experienced any irritation from this. The ankle collar is well padded and lined by a soft material. Overall, I¡¯m really impressed by the upper design and construction.

I had a pair of the originals in blue back in ¡¯04 or ¡¯05, whenever that was- When I sucked so bad and I would hobble around every few months and hurt my knees. That¡¯s the kind of people I associate with these shoes. Shouldn¡¯t cool kids like you wear Sauconys or something like that now?

Just a note on that heel cushioning: it can bottom out on heavier runners. I¡¯m 6-3 and 175 and a slight heel-striker, no pavement pounder, but the Lunarglide just doesn¡¯t have much underfoot for above-average -size runners. Too bad because it¡¯s a relatively light shoe in large sizes. I only use it for shorter runs. No arch troubles for me.

I just tried the new free 3.0 and 4.0. I run in go bionics 2 which I like. I wear size 11 in go bionics and 11 in 3.0 and 4.0. I initially liked how 4.0 felt on my feet. It had lots of room and felt comfortable. However when I took it for a run, for me I felt way too much on the heels and I felt that these could give me problems with my calves in the long term. To me the shoes didn¡¯t quite flow well with how I run. I felt little clunky with them. Then I tried then 3.0 and I love it. I was afraid of the tightness as I felt the shoes to feel a little tight. I run sockless and when I started running, it didn¡¯t feel tight at all. The shoes felt excellent and felt smooth a Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse uk sale s I was running. If you haven¡¯t tried 3.0, you are missing out. Tomorrow I¡¯m going to try running without the insoles and see if that¡¯s even better or not.

Like you I¡¯ve been running in Frees since the first 3.0 release (still have them). Upgraded at every turn. The v3 were a brilliant shoe and still are my triathlon race day choice. The V4 is a horrible shoe. Here in Australian summer (tri season) that lack of breathability in the upper is just unbearable. The fit wa Nike Air Max Lunar 90 mens uk s horrible and was getting blisters where never had them before.
